Catch up!

Just for everyones info I have been taking pictures. So if you get tired of looking I completely understand. It took me forever to upload them all. I ran my first race. It was a stake triathlon. When I finished I wished I would have done the whole thing instead of just the running. Oh well there is always next time. It was awesome having the feeling of accomplishment. Now onto a 10k...and shortly after that a 1/2 marathon. Quin was my number one fan! Aren't you all so jealous. I know I would be!! He wanted to be so supportive he couldn't do any of the events. He had to focus on being my cheerleader! ha ha

Then we had Halloween. The pictures I have aren't to fabulous because I forgot to turn my flash on. I know total Shanell moment. I was Lucy and Quin was Ricardo. Ya know I LOVE LUCY!!! We went to a party that some of our friends had. Thanks again Anthony and Holly. We had a ton of fun. It is the only way I can get Quin to dress up is if we have a party or something to go to. So someone please invite us every year. :0) Is it bad that I enjoy making him do things he wouldn't normally do...I think not. Hello its called getting out of your comfort zone people.

Then my amazing b.f.f. Shay got tickets for SYTYCD. If your reading this and don't know what that means then you shouldn't be reading. I am not going to clarify...sorry! ;0) It was amazing. I am definitely going to try my best to make this a yearly accurance. The only horrible thing was that the dancers didn't come out at the end to meet the fans. Ya know take pictures and sign autographs. It was sooooo lame! Little girls were crying it was awful. I had a blast. It was great going with Shay and her 2 cute little sista's!!

This last Saturday was my cousin Kyle's Birthday party. I told my aunt I would help her out. Well he is really into BMX Racing. The whole family is. So they rented the track out. It was way fun. Especially because Quin always gives him a hard time about it. Ya know saying "It's a girls sport and stuff!" So when Quin decided he would try it all the kids at the party gathered around to watch and race. They all one of course. It is way harder than it looks. My heart was in my throat the whole entire time. But I did it twice! Yes I was proud of myself. And my legs they BURNED! Great exercise though. We have had a great few months. Extremely busy but we wouldn't have it any other way. Hope everyone has a great day!

#1 Fan!

I decided I don't look too great with red hair.

I will leave it up to my sisters.

Did I mention that I love this girl. She is awesome

for getting us the tickets for SYTYCD!

It would not have been the same without her.

Oh and isn't she GORGEOUS!!!

Quin on his bike....yes he did beat me when we raced.
I am ashamed!!!

NO COMMENT! I know I look like
a complete dork!

She finally came! Warning! Picture overload.

Presley Maeve! Congratulations to Berk and Margo!! She had this beautiful baby girl this morning. She is so tiny and quiet. Very different from her older brother Kolby. I hope Margo doesn't mind that I posted a few pictures. I couldn't help myself. Kolby was so stinkin cute. He loves his little sister so much already. And is constantly wanting to look at her and hold her. I am still so amazed at what a wonderful blessing from heaven these sweet little babies are. Can't wait to see how she holds up in this Hatch family of ours. She has such a quiet cry. Hopefully she can keep up with her older brother. :-)

Getting her her foot prints done!

I love Kolby's cheesy grin!

Perhaps pregnancies are contagious! ;-)

The cheesy grins just get better!

OH MAN! I could have stayed there all day and
held that baby girl! She is so precious.

Yes I think I might need one of these soon!!
Thanks Margo for letting me experience what I did with you. You are an amazing woman. And you did a great job. Especially with Berk & Quin hanging out watching the football game on TV. I am sure their comments didn't help with the contractions! Good thing you kicked em out! She is a beautiful girl! Can't wait to get to know her more!

Summer 2010

Don't worry I haven't forgotten about my blog. I just lack the motivation to post anything. I finally uploaded pictures from my camera. So I am going to try and recall some of the summer events. It won't hurt my feelings if you look at the pictures and not read the post.

-Quin's 25th Birthday/ Braxton's basketball tournament in Phoenix

At the end of May we had family in town. It turned out great since it was Quin's birthday. We watched Braxton play in his basketball games, had dinner for Quin's birthday, and watched a pretty funny movie! (Just ask my bro in law Travis) ;-) haha We always love hanging out with family.

-4th of July in Texas!
We always love going to Texas. We can't wait until we get to move there some day. We went to the parade, had a BBQ, went swimming, and shooting in the desert. Quin loves shooting his guns. Real quick story about the desert. I was sitting by my mother in law and sister in laws when all of a sudden there is a huge, hairy, black tarantula!!! Luckily we spotted it before it crawled up Margo's leg. So we all calmly yelled for the "guys". Who of course were in there own world shooting there guns. So they didn't "hear" us. So we yelled louder. They came running over and kicked it out of the way and then we got in trouble for freaking out. Which I don't think is fair. I mean come on it was a huge spider!! I am not sorry for my actions. Quin laughed at me and my craziness after the spider incident. The rest of the evening I kept my feet hoisted in the air so nothing could crawl on me. You have to take the necessary precautions when your in the wild! ha ha Yes I know I am crazy! We had a blast in El Paso and can't wait to see everyone again soon!

Quin and his El Paso/Texas shirt that he bought at Walgreen's right before the parade.

-LoLo's Chicken & Waffles/D-Backs Game with Friends

We love hanging out with some of our best friends Cooper and Shalyn. Quin wanted them to experience Chicken and Waffles before we went to the game. We had a great time. The game was well...I think they won. But the only reason I went was for the fire works afterwards.

We have had a great summer and can't wait for the holidays to come so we can see family! And we are going on a Cruise for our Anniversary and just because we haven't gone on a vacation since we got married. I am so excited!! Now I just have to get lookin better in a swimsuit!! I better keep runnin!!

Smile you could make my day!

This may very well be the freakin cutest boy
in the world!

We got to drive up the new Pacheco road. Well
the part that's done anyways. The ride is so
much more comfortable.

The cutest little baby pony I have ever seen!
I just wanted pick it up and hold it!

Garrett and Tori. She is getting so big.

He is so handsome. Well I think so anyways.
Quin and his Horse! He used to be gray.

HUH! Yes that was a big sigh. Tax season is finally over! Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! I can finally have my weekends and my evenings back. And like Quin says he is excited to get his wife back! He is just tired of eating frozen stuff. We all know he only likes me because I can cook! ;) The extra money on my paycheck will be missed but its almost not worth it. I tell Quin all the time that I am not meant to work and he is. I don't know how he works 12 hours 4 days a week. I only have to do it for 2 1/2 months and I am dieing he does it all year. I am excited to get back into the groove of things. Looking forward to the summer! Hopefully get some sun. You don't want to see my legs.

We just got back from Mexico last Sunday. We went for the weekend to see the dentist. Whoohooo. Not really. I am a huge ninny (and yes Ninny is a word I made it up). It was nice to see family for the weekend. We have to go back down 2 more times. But it will end up being way cheaper to get our work done down there then it will be out here. We can make the sacrifice of time plus we get to see family as well. The things you have to do when you don't have dental insurance!

Quin got to ride his horse Shock an Awe. He got to spend some much needed alone time with him thanks to his dad. He got to ride him all the way back up to the field! I wish we had horses. I can see how much he enjoys riding. Maybe I will get him one for his birthday. ;) Oh off on a tangent Quins birthday is the end of May. What do I get him? He says he doesn't know so please give me some suggestions. Thanks! Anyway we really enjoyed our trip down to Mexico. It was short and sweet! Hope everyone has a great week!

Updates

This is for you Shay! No I am kidding. Thanks for the push to post! Its not that our lives are so boring that I have nothing to write about I guess I am just lazy! And I don't know what to say! We just recently got back from El Paso visiting Quins family. We went over to watch his brothers and their Semi-Pro football team! Congrats to the Seminoles for winning their first game! It was very exciting especially at the very end! It was so nice to see everyone and we already miss them.

I have been working alot. Tis the season...tax season that is! My favorite time of the year! It is nice to be busy and the over time is great too! Quin has been busy as well. He is about to finish up his associates then on his way to his bachelors! It needs to go faster!

We also moved in January. We love our new apartment! It is great! I am getting really tired of moving though. I told Quin this is it. Atleast for a while. I just need more decorations! But I can't really find that perfect picture! Hopefully I'll find it someday! My brother just had his baby in February. My two sister in laws are prego! Congrats Margo and BJ! Boy do I feel left out! I am really excited for them! I feel like everyone is pregnant or about to have a baby except me! Oh well I just need to be patient. It will happen when the time is right! I love being able to hold those precious little things and then as soon as they start to cry I hand them over! It doesn't work that way when they are on their own. Babies...well they will be here soon enough!

On another note. HUH! yes that was a capitalized sigh! Why do men have to be such babies when they are sick. Quin a has a cold again. He managed to get his butt out of bed and work a regular 12 hour day but the second he got home all I heard was "I AM SICK!!" If i hear that phrase one more time I think I might pull my hair out! DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA! I love him to death but I will be praying that he gets healthy soon! And if anyone feels free to join in on the prayers it would be greatly appreciated! Oh any tips on how to survive until this is over please let me know!

So I think I have been all over the place in this post. But that is ok this is my blog and I can do what I want..right! Well I do want to be better at this. I think its sort of like having a journal and I love looking at everyone elses. So in order to look I better keep mine updated so you all can have something to look at! Until the next post!

hAs iT aLrEaDy BeEn 2 yEaRs...

Happy Anniversary honey! Now we can say we have made it at least 2 years. I think we are out of the honeymoon stage. I was seriously getting sick of hearing that. hehe These last 2 years have been filled with the good the bad and the absolutely greatest moments of my life. Quin I want you to know that you are my best friend and I am blessed to have you in my life. Not just anyone can be married to me...and all of my craziness. Thank you for working hard everyday for our family. I can't wait to celebrate our 50th Anniversary!! I know its still a ways off but hey I can imagine right.

We celebrated over the weekend. I tried to surprise Quin. And it was working until I got lost...ya I know next time I will remember when planning on surprising someone make sure you know where its at first!! I took him to the Horse Races. It was fun. Something I have never done before. And he had a pretty good time after he got over me getting lost! We both laughed in the end. He was pretty good at picking the horses that won. We didn't bet of course but I couldn't believe how much money people waste there! It was amazing. If they wanted to give their money away they could have given it to me!! Following the race track we watched BYU play...it is only right. Considering we watched the game 2 years ago at our luncheon!! Yes I know he still owes me for that one. ;0) For dinner we went to Cheesecake Factory. Quins favorite place. Even after this long we still seem to find things to talk about. I take that as a good sign. I had a great weekend spending it with my B.F.F. Thank you for a wonderful 2 years honey. I love you!

On another note since its been a while since my last post. I can't wait for the Holidays. Thanksgiving this week and then Christmas! I am looking forward to challenging Quin in my families turkey bowl Thursday morning. If he thinks its going to be easy he has got it wrong...I am in better shape then he is! And I can't wait to decorate for Christmas. Quin is torturing me by making me wait! I can't help myself. I am looking forward to good food, game and naps! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Its amazing how looking at a few pictures makes it seem like it just happened yesterday!

The List of Things I should already know...according to my husband.

Ok its not really a list. I have these tennis shoes that are about 3 years old and the other day I purchased some inserts for them. The package said sizes 5-10. So I got home and I spent probably 20 MIN. Trying to figure out why the balsted inserts wouldn't fit in my shoes. My size is 8 and the insert said 5-10. It didn't make sense to me so I gave up. When Quin walked through the door he saw my shoes sitting on the fireplace mantle with the inserts sticking half way out. He looked at me and said "what's up with that?!?" So I explained to him that I simply bought the wrong size insert...he then looked at the shoes then turned to look at me and laughed. Now I didn't see anything funny about it. I was actually pretty mad that the stupid things wouldn't fit! He grabbed my hand and sat me on the couch then he got the shoes and proceeded to teach me about shoe inserts. Did you know that on the bottom of the insert there are numbers according to your shoe size...and you are supposed to cut them at your size!!! I simply thought they were just like socks...one size pretty much fits all. Well I am afraid not. By the end of my learning experience with inserts Quin told me that this is something I should have already known. Well I didn't...obviously! Thanks honey for teaching me about shoes and inserts! I am nervous to find out what else is on this list of things I should already know!
