hAs iT aLrEaDy BeEn 2 yEaRs...

Happy Anniversary honey! Now we can say we have made it at least 2 years. I think we are out of the honeymoon stage. I was seriously getting sick of hearing that. hehe These last 2 years have been filled with the good the bad and the absolutely greatest moments of my life. Quin I want you to know that you are my best friend and I am blessed to have you in my life. Not just anyone can be married to me...and all of my craziness. Thank you for working hard everyday for our family. I can't wait to celebrate our 50th Anniversary!! I know its still a ways off but hey I can imagine right.

We celebrated over the weekend. I tried to surprise Quin. And it was working until I got lost...ya I know next time I will remember when planning on surprising someone make sure you know where its at first!! I took him to the Horse Races. It was fun. Something I have never done before. And he had a pretty good time after he got over me getting lost! We both laughed in the end. He was pretty good at picking the horses that won. We didn't bet of course but I couldn't believe how much money people waste there! It was amazing. If they wanted to give their money away they could have given it to me!! Following the race track we watched BYU play...it is only right. Considering we watched the game 2 years ago at our luncheon!! Yes I know he still owes me for that one. ;0) For dinner we went to Cheesecake Factory. Quins favorite place. Even after this long we still seem to find things to talk about. I take that as a good sign. I had a great weekend spending it with my B.F.F. Thank you for a wonderful 2 years honey. I love you!

On another note since its been a while since my last post. I can't wait for the Holidays. Thanksgiving this week and then Christmas! I am looking forward to challenging Quin in my families turkey bowl Thursday morning. If he thinks its going to be easy he has got it wrong...I am in better shape then he is! And I can't wait to decorate for Christmas. Quin is torturing me by making me wait! I can't help myself. I am looking forward to good food, game and naps! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Its amazing how looking at a few pictures makes it seem like it just happened yesterday!

The List of Things I should already know...according to my husband.

Ok its not really a list. I have these tennis shoes that are about 3 years old and the other day I purchased some inserts for them. The package said sizes 5-10. So I got home and I spent probably 20 MIN. Trying to figure out why the balsted inserts wouldn't fit in my shoes. My size is 8 and the insert said 5-10. It didn't make sense to me so I gave up. When Quin walked through the door he saw my shoes sitting on the fireplace mantle with the inserts sticking half way out. He looked at me and said "what's up with that?!?" So I explained to him that I simply bought the wrong size insert...he then looked at the shoes then turned to look at me and laughed. Now I didn't see anything funny about it. I was actually pretty mad that the stupid things wouldn't fit! He grabbed my hand and sat me on the couch then he got the shoes and proceeded to teach me about shoe inserts. Did you know that on the bottom of the insert there are numbers according to your shoe size...and you are supposed to cut them at your size!!! I simply thought they were just like socks...one size pretty much fits all. Well I am afraid not. By the end of my learning experience with inserts Quin told me that this is something I should have already known. Well I didn't...obviously! Thanks honey for teaching me about shoes and inserts! I am nervous to find out what else is on this list of things I should already know!

Summer...what Summer...

Summer came and went. I hardly had time to plan to do anything. Although it still feels like summer here in Mesa. It will still be hot until October. So I still consider it to be summer. Our road trips consisted of El Paso and Snowflake to visit family. We enjoyed both trips. It was Quin's first experience of the Pioneer Days in good ole Snowflake. He wasn't sure what to think. But had fun going shooting and watching the rodeo. His favorite part would have to be when we went to the Youth Dance to check up on my siblings. We got to be chaperons for a while. You would of thought he was a kid in a candy shop the way he gave kids a hard time. I will admit it was pretty fun.

We have also been busy in our Ward. The Bishop asked us to learn dances for the Pioneer Trek and teach them to the youth in our ward. It has been a lot of fun. I finally got my husband to dance with me even if they are pioneer dances. :o) Other than school and work we haven't been up to much. I can't wait to be able to get a chance to take a little vacation and get away from the heat. I am looking forward to going camping with my family while Quin is on his BYU Football trip with the Boys! Camping always clears my mind! I can't wait to see those beautiful mountains and breath the fresh air!

Here are a few of the pictures we took.

Quin was so kind to let my mom shoot his gun!

They thought they were so cool...

I love it when he suprises me

I came home from gym on Friday afternoon after work and found these beautiful, bright, Gerbera daisies...which happen to be some of my favorite flowers! My first thought was...what did he do or buy that he was not supposed to. Guess what he did it just to do it!!! Of course it made my day! Unfortunately Quin is getting a cold AGAIN!! So all I heard the rest of the night was, " I"M SICK!!!" I know I am not alone in the annoyance of this. He did buy me flowers so I took care of him. Not 0nly did he surprise me with flowers but today while I was attending my 5 hour traffic school. He completely cleaned the house. Windows, dusting, moping, he even organized all the closets! I am not trying to put him on a pedal stool but I felt pretty lucky today. Maybe I shouldn't set my expectations high! What do you think?!?!

I am oficailly a criminal!

Last Wednesday I was on my way to a Dr. Appt. When I saw the flashing red lights!!! Right then my stomach went into my throat! I did not realize how fast I was going and I slowed down as soon as I realized....I know I know everyone says that but I am telling the truth. Well I might have gotten off had it not been a motorcycle cop! I was of course then late for my Appt. Which I sat for an hour waiting to see the Doctor! Annoying!!! At that point I wanted to go crawl back in bed! Quin was really supportive and told me it was no big deal. I now will be joining the rest of you who have been to traffic school. Who knows I might learn something! I eventually got over it but now I can not brag about never getting a ticket! As for those who have already been pulled over and have yet to be I know how you feel!

the latest and greatest

I know its been a while. I never said I was going to be good at this. Tax season is finally over for me! It is going to be great to finally have my nights and Saturdays back. Quin is still working and going to school. Last weekend we went down to Tucson, AZ. Where Anne ran a half marathon. I have to give her credit I think that is amazing. And I can't wait to do it with her next year! All in all it was an enjoyable weekend with some family. Oh, Quin finally got a little sun so his legs are not so white anymore. That is one of our goals this summer is to tan!! We do live in the valley of the sun and we are both so WHITE!!!! This week we have been busy trying to catch up on all the things I got behind on during tax season. My family came to town and we went to the Celtic Women Concert! Oh my word! It was awesome. Thank you Dad and Mom for doing that I will never forget it. So we will be in Snowflake this coming weekend for my brothers wedding! In case anyone was wondering we are doing great! Plus we can't wait to see Travis, Tiffany and family this month to watch Braxton play ball. Oh, Braxton we are so proud of you and hope you had a great birthday and we are sorry we could not be there. May is going to be a busy month for us. I will do my best to post a little more often!

My weekend alone

I had a great weekend with my sister in-law Margo. While our husbands were in Utah attending a funeral we were able to do what we wanted to do. Sleepover, good food, ice cream. I had fun we got both of our houses cleaned. Mine was way dirty...just ask Margo! ;) Thanks Margo for hanging out with me and keeping me entertained!

As for Quin being gone all weekend. Yes I did miss you honey. When you are away it makes me realize how much you do mean to me. You are my best friend and my lover! I am glad you were able to spend the weekend with your family but I am glad you are coming home. I am tired of not having someone to keep me warm when I get into bed. I miss someone listening to me and my silly stories. Please hurry home!

Spring is in the Air!

I love spring! I especially love all of the bright colors. I bought 5 new shirts for $20. I thought it was a great deal. Quin stated that they are just T-SHIRTS. I actually think they are fun vibrant colors. Besides that I got a great deal! He can't complain. My family came to visit this weekend. Well they came down to buy a new washer and dryer but it was a good excuse to see them. We had a fun time and some good laughs. I can't wait for my mom and my sister to come back down next weekend. Shopping, late nights, ice cream, music, chatting! It is a good thing Quin won't be around so we can have fun! So I can't wait to get through the week to enjoy the weekend once more!

Stiffin the balloon man!

Friday night when my husband finally decided to stop doing homework. We thought we should eat dinner about eight thirty and went to Texas Roadhouse. While we were waiting for our food the little old man who makes figures out of balloons came over to our table. Quin said "my wife here needs a flower she is cranky!" So he proceeded to make me a flower meanwhile I am kicking him under the table to let him know that I don't want one because you have to pay him and he of course didn't get it. So when the guy was done he stood there for a while and Quin was like..."oh do I need to pay you something for the balloon...the little old man replied well if you want to." We had no cash..I was so embarrassed. Needless to say when the man walked away I didn't let him live it down. He didn't let me down he gave an extra tip on our card for the balloon man. Hopefully he got his tip. Well the next morning when we were cleaning he decided to pop my balloon. Quite rude...so hopefully my husband has now learned that people just don't walk around handing out balloons for FREE!

I finally did it!

So I stayed home sick today with the flu and I finally broke down and decided to set up my blog. So if anyone wants to offer some help as to how I can make my page cute I will take any advice. Anyways...I have had better days. To anyone who gets this flu or has the flu I feel your pain. Luckily I didn't have it as bad as others. Quin is so afraid to get it...I had to break it to him that he has already been exposed so it is only a matter of time! The guy doesn't want to miss work. I am hoping that tomorrow will be a better day.
